The BBC and Digital UK report there are no faults or engineering work on the Cow Hill (Highland, Scotland) transmitter.
UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. I think mains might have been off overnight. DAB was off at 0800h, now still intermittent and unusable. Tends to behave like that when the power has been off for a long period.
Tried to report on the BBC form but it is impossible.
I checked TV at 0800 also and at that time BBC1 HD sound was broken up a bit which can also happen after the power has been off but it recovers much quicker than DAB which takes ages to recover..
