Map of all DAB transmitters

You can click on a transmitter group symbol to see all the masts in that county or area, or click on a single transmitter to see the coverage area. Due to the large number of radio transmitters, many have been grouped into counties or administrative areas for ease of viewing.

MikeP: The BBC national multiplex has a 2kW transmitter at Naish Hill (near Corsham) which serves the West Wiltshire area.

MikeP: My error, I read the place as "Tunbridge"...

Do you have a postcode for the new location as you can use it on the ukdigitalradio: Coverage page?

Briantist:

I put in the new post code and got a page saying "Here are the results: Please try again!" So not very helpful I'm afraid.

The Naish Hill transmitter is nowhere near Corsham! It is south south east of Chippenham but is not 'visible' from my new address in Trowbridge due to hills, particularly at Chaveywell and Holt.

As you can see from the response above to Briantist, the UKDigitalRadio: Coverage website is of no practical use in this case.

'Drilling down' into the website reveals a map showing transmitter locations - but not coverage.

At my 'old' address, on a hilltop 4 miles north of Calne, our reception from Naish hill was terrible to non existent! Even MW was very variable at best! FM is poor and DAB suspect in most rooms of the old house. I was hoping for better reception without resorting to a directional aerial on top of the UHF and FM aerials plus the satellite dish! It gets terribly unsightly and 'the lady of the house' doesn't like all the 'hardware' on the roof/chimney stack!

In short does anyone have dates for proposed transmitters in any or all of the following, as per the feed seen confirming new transmitters.

Ipswich( Warren Heath )
Felixstowe
Woodbridge

I live in Kesgrave and work in Ipswich and the DAB reception in my car is dreadful. I was advised to go DAB for better quality radio and its as bad as my FM reception. If I travel south down A12 it very good and if I travel west towards Stowmarket it's also good, so I know there isn't an issue with my DAB car radio.

Thanks

Lee

Hello Brian
First, thank you for your most informative site. Could I just ask you to check the information on the DAB map for Devon. For the Beacon Hill site it says DAB is coming soon. I used to live in the Beacon Hill service area and Beacon Hill was one of the first transmitters in Devon to broadcast both Digital One and the BBC DAB multiplex. I guess a link in your map programme has by accident been changed.

The BBC says DAB transmitters at Melvaig and Skriaig went into service a couple of months back, but they aren't showing on the map yet.

Just got a car with DAB Radio. It's good around Manchester but goes off completely as soon as I venture into the fringes and low foothills of the Peak District. How can this, generally, be regarded as progress and how are we likely to be served when the Analogue signal is turned off ?
