Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the The Wrekin (Telford and Wrekin, England) mast?

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

Hilly: Same as everywhere as it was on the Digital One national multiplex and has now been removed so as to provide space for Magic. It will be available on local DAB multiplexes in some areas:

Hilly: It is probably doubtful you will. Refer to the link I provided the only multiplex in the West Midlands area to carry it is the "Birmingham" one, which is on channel 11C.

Hi, Planet Rock was one DAB 1, it is moving to DAB 2. I believe the Wrekin only uses DAB 1, is that correct and if so I assume that is the end of Planet Rock to anyone in the 280,000 properties that may want to listen to it.
Cheers
Trevor

Trevor Wootton: many of the listeners in the Wrekin service area might be able to receivea dab signals from Winter Hill/Alsagers Bank/Sutton Coldfield/Turners Hill for block 11A.

I'd like to listen to Virgin Radio (11B?) in the Wellington area of Shropshire but signal in car radio fades several times driving down a single road. Can this poor service be reported anywhere so it can be resolved?

Planet Rock has actually improved in Shrewsbury in the last few months. Previously I could only receive it at home using a large co-linear antenna. In the car it started to disappear in places when travelling north west soon after leaving Telford. Its now fairly solid copy over the whole town with just a few black spots in the town centre, and I've taken the co-linear down. Whats changed ?

Simon: The Wrekin is one of 19 transmitters which had the SDL National DAB multiplex (which carries Planet Rock) added back in the autumn of 2018.
