Once this threshold is reached then the government will decide whether it wants to instruct the major players in the broadcasting industry to come off analogue FM and AM and if it does decide to do that, those analogue frequencies will be vacated after two years. The television channels believe an Irish broadcaster may be using some of the same frequencies which they say would account for the problem.
