Murdoch Gets Dangerous for Cameron - Bloomberg
For three decades, Britains powerful have sought close relations with Rupert Murdoch and his newspapers. Senior policemen who dined editors of the paper now have 45 detectives investigating it. Prime Minister David Cameron is under pressure for hiring a former editor of the News of The World who had already resigned over phone-hacking. - bloomberg.comwww.bloomberg.comHacking Scandal May Delay Ruling on News Corp. Bid for BSkyB - WSJ.com
The proposed deal, which has already been 13 months in the making because of complicated regulatory hurdles, may now face further delays in the wake of allegations that News of the World hacked into the mobile-phone voice mails of people ranging from celebrities and politicians to murder victims. One regulator that had already approved the deal said it had other powers that could possibly affect it. BSkyB shares fell 2.1 in London trading Wednesday to 827 pence 13.28 apiece, reflecting investor jitters about the deal. - online.wsj.comonline.wsj.comCut more managers - Patten
6 July 2011 Last updated at 2117 The chairman of the BBC Trust has called for senior management numbers to be cut to around one percent of the total workforce by 2015, which at current staffing levels would leave the corporation with some 200 senior posts. He set out his vision for the BBC as it adjusts to a future of restricted income, and it is a leaner, simpler organisation of fewer, less well paid managers he has in mind. First, the disclosure that the News of the World appears to have paid tens of thousands of pounds to police officers for information over a period of years is redolent of a newsroom that seems to have been out of control. There was, according to sources, a macho culture at the News of the World from 2003 to 2006 or so when almost no practice was off limits, so long as the scoop was landed. What we now need to know is which officers received the payments that were detailed in the internal News-of-the-World e-mails sanctioning the payments. - bbc.co.ukwww.bbc.co.ukBBC HD TV: Winding Down from Wimbledon

BBC News on a connected TV I've written here before about publishing content to multiple platforms.
