Sirs
I have a Humax HD Freesat box and Panasonic 32"TV. There seems virtually no difference between normal and HD transmissions.
Do I need to install a special HD LNB ( existing is a quad LNB only about 18 months old)

Gordon Davies: No. You probably need to visit Specsavers - Browse and buy glasses and contact lenses online .

Gordon Davies: Make sure you're connecting the box to the TV with a digital link, such as HDMI, ONLY. If you connect SCART as well, the TV will often switch to the SCART input due to the box sending the Select signal. SCART is only SD.

Any Idears out there Hears what I whish to do
Since Mr Butterworh advises against amplifying the UHF then splitting it to feed many tuners how can a daisy chained signal be fed to a laptop that is able to record program whislt also still being fed to end of chain which is the main display device in house. If the chain passed through sky box with secound rf op active might that pass the freeview channels unalterd onto any other digital tuners IE :- Could I feed the uhf freeview into the sky box after it has looped through all recording device decks then take one sky box rf out to laptop and the other RF output to TV Or put it another way will the freeview encorded channel data still exist after have loopthrough and been multyplied X2 in the sky box in a transparant way like video signals used to be up and downlinked through satelite transponders regardless of the signal type modulated onto the RF (IE PAL-NTSC-DMac-D2MAC) as was it in the 90's. As It Stands I Get pretty much everything including HD via freeview extreamly well. Please understand this is related to freeview distrubution only. I do not want to end up with less.
Many Thanks

Shammi: If its an Amstrad 595 Sky+ HD box then these do not have an RF output facility hence no need for a magic eye.

My TV suffers from bad signals for ITV3 & CITV. I believe these are on the same multiplex
I also have a Panasonic DVD player and TV and I am aware that Panasonics are quite sensitive to signals
All are channels are fine
Can anyone recommend what I do to get decent signal for ITV3 & CITV amongst others?

Paul Bixley: Without giving any idea as to your location, preferably in the form of a postcode, or a nearby postcode such as that of a shop, then we don't really have a prayer of answering such a question with any degree of certainty.
With the postcode we can look up predicted coverage. We may also find out which transmitter you are using as that is crucial!

Paul Bixley.Yes ITV3 & CITV are on the same multiplex, that being SDN.But as Dave Lindsay mentioned we are not much of useful help to you if you fail to provide a full postcode preferably or a nearby location as such. This is to ascertain the reception possibilities where you are located.

I have an outside digital aerial that through a splitter feeds 3 cabels into my house. Overnight, none of the cables running into the house feed a reception into the tv's. All tv's say no signal. I have checked the cable coming from the aerial into the af input and the connection is fine. All 3 cables coming out of the splitter are still firmly joined insidevthe splitter. Had the aerial professionally installed 6 months ago. Any help would be appreciated
