ted: If this is a satellite receiver then you won't be able to receive Yesterday on it at all. If you can receive Yesterday on Freeview then you would need to use your TV or another box to do so.

ted: It has to be appreciated that Humax uses the name "FOX" in both their Freesat and Freeview ranges, this being why its important to have either the model number of the box or alternatively the full name of the model.

Justin: You can't turn it off. It's there to protect the content you are watching from being copied.

I have 2 foxsat boxes 1 records the other does not. the one that does is fine, the other has been losing channels recently. whilst trying to retune it fails to find the postcode even though it is already in there. it did eventually do a retune but some channels were coming up scrambled or unavailable including BBC1

I gave in and did a factory reset and now it fails to find a signal at all. the other box is fine help!

anonimouse: Try swapping the two boxes over and then carrying out the set up procedure on the problem box, as this will soon prove if the box itself is actually faulty or that the problem is down to a defect in the feed from the dish, although should it be the latter then the box that was previously working OK will not now be, i.e: the problem will be transferred.

anonimouse:

problem is one is single cable and one is twin

anonimouse: In that case all you require to do is to temporarily connect the "receiver only" box into the position used by the PVR (recorder) and connect any one (as both the same) of the two feeds used by the PVR into the box, then once its powered box up carry out the first time installation procedure, if this results in the EPG list being populated again then the feed used for this receiver only box is defective.

Further advice dependant on findings.

jb38: thanks for that I was worried that if I disconnected the twin I would lose all channels on that as well.

So I decided to check the other end, tightened the single cable connection and voila all channels have now returned.

Thanks all for your assistance
