BBC World Service: Freeview retune 4 August

On Monday 4 August 2008, you will need to perform a retune of your set-top box to continue to listen to the on 710 on Freeview.
If a normal retune does not work, please follow this procedure: My Freeview box has no EPG, is missing Film4, Channel 4+1, no sound on ITV3 or the channel line up is wrong - ukfree.tv - independent digital television and switchover advice, since 2002
Other platforms such as Freesat and fSfS are not effected.

What was the reason for the move Brian ? Has its bit rate increased at all. It sounds better than DAB but still appears to be in mono whereas overnight on BBC Radio 4 FM it is definitely in ((( STEREO ))).

BBC WORLD SERVICE has been in stereo since it moved from Bush House to New Broadcasting House but can only be heard in stereo on BBC Radio 4 from 01:00am to 05:20am and on BBC Radio Wales overnight on FM, DAB and Freeview/Freesat
