I have a sky subscription but have cancelled sky sport. I have signed up for bt broadband and I am getting bt sport through sky. If I cancel my sky subscription will I still get bt sport through my sky+ box.
Will I still have the ability to record pause and rewind.

Tony lee: On the assumption that you are referring to an LG TV capable of receiving Freesat (via a dish) as well as Freeview via a normal aerial then I would advise you to reset the TV and try another rescan, as what you have said suggests that either some glitch has occurred during your first attempt or that you have accidentally entered an incorrect setting.
It would also be of assistance of you could indicate the model of TV in question.
If though you are "not" referring to a Freesat TV then a post code (or one from nearby) will be required to enable an assessment to be made of the signal level expected at your location.

Tony Lee: LG tv's don't 'officially' seem to have a Freesat tuner, but merely one which is 'Freesat compatable' - in fact I asked the LG rep about this today, and basically they dont like to talk about it! The spec on the LG website says the have 2 RF inputs, but doesn't say one has an F fitting.
Model number would help, but hopefully your manual/LG online users forum might be able to give you the info you need.

MikeB: Yes, I also had my doubts about this and why I had requested the model number, as the only one I knew about was an older 32LF7700 model manufactured in 2009, and which owners of were subsequently supplied with a separate Freesat box because of them being unable to access the BBC iplayer, to name but one difficulty!

jb38: The strange thing is that LG did used to have Freesat tuners in their TV's, but now its just Panasonic and Samsung (which got into them a couple of years ago).
There are some threads about this: LG Freesat 2012 models | AVForums.com - UK Online
LG Freesat TV doesn't receive any channels. | whathifi.com
and they seem to reflect Tony Lee's basic problem - its a generic sat. receiver, and so lacks the user friendliness of Freesat in many ways. I'm actually a big fan of LG this year - the N575 has an excellent picture, and is very good value. I'm slightly annoyed they don't mention this feature, since its something extra, and is a good selling point.

MikeB: Sorry for the slight delay in replying, however having now viewed the content of both links I am inclined to agree with your suspicions as to the possible reason for Tony Lee's jumbled up channel problem, insomuch that the LG TV in question might well have been fitted with a generic satellite tuner and "not" a dedicated to Freesat type, as the symptoms described by Tony L are exactly what one would expect after having carried a tuning exercise on a standard generic satellite receiver.
Of course this now raising the question, and being, if the LG is actually new as in "brand new" and not just newly acquired from some source, then I am even more curious as to its model number simply for the purpose of being able to check its specifications, something which I am unable to do as yet by the fact of no further updates having been made.
