If you have sky multiple room and cancel sky can you still get free view in both rooms

Not to put a downer on your Sony DVD recorder but I had a Sony Video recorder which I lost the menu on and the remote ceased to function. I reset to the manfacturers settings and the thing never worked again. If they are still using the same chipsets internally for menus and programming which highly likely, and there is a fault. Once reset the machine is locked out. I recycled mine. I hope you can fix it, best of luck.

I am deaf and would like to have the subtitles on my SKY I have followed the instructions in the user book... that is (select set up...select language and sub titles... highlight the settings... and turn on with the arrows... highlight the new settings and press select.)
I did get it to work once and I also got the "narrative" (for people with poor sight) to work but no subtitles, hopefully someone has a few ideas,thanks.

john: Yes, you just turn them on as described via the Language and Settings menu.
Make sure you do press SELECT, if you press BACKUP or SKY your changes are not saved.

Hi I can pick up Hotbird (humax hd)and used to watch all the Rai channels no problem. Recently a black screen is appearing saying scrambled or unavailable when I go onto the Rai stations. I have tried rescanning and re installing but no change. My box/dish finds Hotbird and Rai channels but same black screen everytime. My relation who lives several miles away from me is tuned into Hotbird and can receive all the Rai channels with no problem. Can you help?

Hi I have a sky + HD box and would like to cancel my sub scription as I have had this for 12 months + now.
Am I able to use my sky + HD box on freesat and still get HD quality? also would I be able to record still?
Also do I have to purchase a freesat card? or will the sky card still work?
