M: You should have any problems with Freeview HD at that location, the signal is predicted to be more-or-less perfect.
I would have a look at Single frequency interference | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .

At the moment we're getting all the muxes no problem. Have tried scanning again tonight for new channels (with the Humax set to DVB-T2) but nothing found still. Dare I say this is likely a problem with the Humax box/tuner itself then...? i.e. if I can get all teh normal SD muxes without issue, should I be able to get the HD channels without issue?

M: Can you try a manual scan on C31?
As I said, you are predicted to get good reception of this service, as long as you have a rooftop aerial.

Ah maybe that's the issue. We have to have our aerial in the loft. Although like I say, we have no issues getting all the SD channels at the moment. Is there any reason why we wouldn't be able to pick up HD with the aerial in the loft, even though the SD channels are fine? e.g. is HD transmitted at lower power or is this an interferrance thing?
Did a manual scan on Channel 31, but no HD channels picked up.
Will this change when Crystal Palace switches over to digital-only broadcasts? Guessing there's not enough power to receive the weak HD signal at the moment?

M: Loft aerials are never going to be recommended for digital reception, but you will probably find that after switchover the higher power signals will work better.

Hi
I have just installed an LG HD Freeview TV and because I am still playing around with it I have done an auto rescan a few times but only once have I picked up HD stations including BBC HD. These worked perfectly but I cant seem to get them again on a rescan. My transmitter is Crystal Palace about 30 miles away. Can you think why this might be.

I have;
VCR with 2 Scarts.
Set top box with 2 Scarts.
DVR with 2 Scarts and 1 HDMI out.
Digital TV with I Scart, 2 HDMI sockets.
All have the usual Antenna sockets, but the DVR does not have an RF modulator.
How can I interconnect;
1. All 4 units.
2. The Set top box, DVR & TV when the VCR
is redundant post digital switchover.
Regards,
A. Jones
