Useful update, Brian. Thanks. Query : is there a fixed correlation between frequency and FreeSat channel numbers? My FreeSat receivers only display frequencies.

michae: No, they are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

Thanks for the confirmation, Brian. That
is what I assumed. I will cross-link the update here with lyngsat or kingofsat if I need to locate a particular channel.

michael: If you use the search box on UK Free TV, it will also search Lyngsat to help with that.
The purpose of the list is reduce the complexity, if I started adding in all the transponder and multiplex information it would reduce clarity.
And I see little point in duplicating the excellent efforts of Lyngsat.

I have three TV's in the house two of which are new, less than six months old both with built in freeveiw, the other one is an old one with a freeview box attached. What will I have to do when the changeover comes to my area in August to keep using the old set. Thankyou, K I Moore

Keith: Nothing much, just retune the boxes/sets on the day.

What can be causing some of our normal tv channels to completely disappear? Since Saturday we have been unable to get Yesterday, ITV4, E4, More 4, Viva and Film 4 and one or two other which we don;t use. Can you tell me please what could be the problem? Many thanks.

Interesting update - particularly the Channel 4 HD channel that you indicate is coming soon.
Are there any more Freeview HD channels coming to Freesat that can be viewed in HD with a Humax Fox Sat that you are aware of?
I was rather hoping that Film 4 might be one of them!

Brian Springthorpe: Yes, Channel 4 HD starts soon - see Channel 4 HD free-to-air testing on Eurobird 1 | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice and Channel 4 HD to start on Freesat | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice .
Probably 1st April, as this is the anniversary of when the channel went on Sky's subscription service.
