Fenton transmitter - retune required on 20th April 2011

Freeview viewers in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under-Lyme who use the Fenton transmitter will need to retune to continue watching multiplex 2 on Wednesday 20th April 2011.

Just a quick reminder to the 130,000 homes that use Fenton there is a frequency change from 20th April 2011 until 21st September 2011, Multiplex 2 will operate on C33 at 100W (from original C30).

If you use this transmitter, you will need to retune at around 6am.

You will need to do a "first time installation" to clear the existing scanned channels from your list, otherwise you will find all the moved channels in the 800-899 range.

This should cause no problems, but if you find the channels are missing after 6am, please check for Single frequency interference.

Hi

My Freeview channels ITV Channel 4 etc are still not available. I am using the Fenton transmitter and have tried the New Installation by removing all channels then reinserting the ariel and searching again.

Can you advise me as to how I can manually set the Multiplex 2 to operate on C33 at 100W

Thanks

Thanks Briantist for your reply but that page doesn't really relate to my problem. My problem is that i have tried to 'retune to continue watching multiplex 2 on Wednesday 20th April 2011' as advised above but am still unable to pick up any of the multiplex 2 channels

Declan: If there is nothing on that link for you then you are going to have to wait for switchover on 21st September 2011.

Retuned today, result ITV etc absent from EPG entirely. Then manually tuned my Humax 9200T to channel 33 and got the channels back but they are awful, constant break up. Signal strength and quality both poor. Is it low signal from transmitter or out of band of my aerial? Am I going to need a new aerial? Not happy. And Film4 has been breaking up for weeks.
