Arqiva statement on Belmont and Olivers Mount
From Arqiva (the transmission provider for all terrestrial TV and most radio services in the UK):
Digital Switch Over completed for Belmont and Oliver's Mount
transmitter groups
The Digital Switch Over process for the Belmont transmitter group, serving Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, and Oliverâââ‰â¢s Mount serving Scarborough, has been successfully implemented by Arqiva.
Most digital multiplexes are now being transmitted at high power from the main station at Belmont and, for the first time, from its three dependent relays at Grimsby, Lincoln Central and Weaverthorpe. The Arqiva A and Arqiva B multiplexes at Belmont must remain at lower
power until 23 November as planned. At Oliverâââ‰â¢s Mount all six digital multiplexes are now at high power, with its single dependent relay at Hunmanby carrying digital signals for the first time.
Following the analogue switch-off for BBC Two on 3 August, the remaining analogue signals for BBC One, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 ceased by 00:26 on Wednesday 17 August. The new digital signals entered official service at Belmont at 05:50 and Oliverâââ‰â¢s Mount at
04:30, with the last of the relays completed by 14:00.

We have a caravan just south of Bridlington. The postcode of the site is YO25 8TP. We have almost perfect reception of digital channels through the day and early evening but at about 20:45 each night all channels start to break up and it's impossible to watch. Any suggestions?

I could get a number of digital channels from Belmont before the swithover, but now can't get any, despite repeated attempts to retune. Why not?
Postcode LS16 5NF, house number 42. We're not able to pick up Emley Moor because we're in a steep sided, tree lined valley. We're served by the Headingley relay station and will be able to get some channels from that next month, but only a limited number, so had hoped to get more from Belmont.

AT - your own transmitters change on 7/11 so see what happens then I suggest.
But the references think you can see Emley Moor - even adding 42 to the Digital Trade Info.
Local ae fitter knows best.

Alan Thorn: The Digital UK postcode checker predicts that you should still have good reception from Belmont on the PSB muxes and Mux SDN. You will have to wait until 23rd September 2011 for a power increase on Mux ArqA and Mux ArqB before they are available. If you are not receiving any channels at all from Belmont (with none in the 800s of the channel list either) check if your receiver is on the list of equipment that does not support the 8k mode. Also if you are using a booster the signal might now be too strong. In that case try turning the amplification down, or connect the aerial direct to the receiver with no booster in line.

We recently retuned to Olivers mount transmitter to receive Yorkshire programmes. Everything is fine apart from the ITV3 group of programmes which consistently break up. I have retuned my recorder from default but does not improve matters. Can you help.

R Schofield: Many thanks, I have removed my old amplifier and so far seem to have cleared the problem. All programmes on this line (ITV3 etc) are now unscrambled, but still seem a bit 'jumpy'. But are better than previously.

R Schofield: That sounds much better. It might be worth checking all your cables and connectors as you should have perfect reception of all services.
