Improvements to Freeview EPG data in reception overlap areas

Freeview and Freeview+ equipment will be better able to record and schedule regional programmes on the public service multiplexes in areas where regional services deliberately overlap.

DMOL, the company that manages the distribution EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) is taking steps to improve the data that is carried to transmitters in parts of the UK where homes can receive more than one television region.

Starting with the North West England and Wales networks, the information for BBC and ITV programmes for both regions will be carried on each.

This means people using the Storeton transmitter, that carries both England (North West) and Wales services will have improved EPG data, helping with viewing and recording of regional programmes, for example of services on one network when tuned to another.

Storeton is being used a test for this overlap of EPG information, and will be rolled out to other "deliberate overlap" transmitters such at Caldbeck, Derby and on the the North Norfolk coast.

It as gone now. Was not labelled as an advert like the one there is now.
It was for a download of a Player and looked part of the forum notice.
So it looks like a Spammer then, readers here should be warned to be careful that all might not be good here.

janet: If you retune when a Mux is off the air, blocked by interference or signal level has dropped below the digital cliff, many receivers will delete the channels from the channel list. To get them back you will need to retune when the signal returns. If manual tuning is possible try tuning C32 for MuxA/ SDN from Crystal Palace. When you have a full set of channels in your channel list do not retune except for advertised switchover events or to add new channels. A stored channel which is showing "no signal" will return by itself if its absence is due to a temporary signal problem.

David: Yes, Google do follow what you do. That includes tracking which websites they have served adverts to you, so they can serve more ads that they think will be relevant to you on other sites, not just what you search for. If you want to opt out, go to Advertising and Privacy Google Privacy Center .
