According to Local TV wins prominent slot as bid battle hots up - News - Broadcast
The governmentââ¬â¢s local TV service will play out on Freeview channel eight and Sky channel 117, and a raft of major TV figures are behind the five competing bids in London, Broadcast can reveal.
The prominent slots are understood to have gone down well with the bidders, and Ofcom will reveal the successful applicants in Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow and London next month.

What about Wales.? Because Channel 4 is on number 8 in Wales. Hope channel 4 wont dissapear in Wales

Just to add, it will be Freeview 45 in Scotland too, as BBC Alba is on Freeview 8.

Living in south essex, receiving BBC London/ITV London from Crystal Palace Freeview transmitter. Will we be able to watch the new Channel 8 London local service upon launch?
