My high gain aerial can't get all the Freeview channels I expected
You need a "wideband" aerial rather than a high gain one (see all about aerials). Also, if you use a signal booster in the setup, this can cause problems with digital signals.
Can I suggest that you try the following:
1. Check that all the connectors are OK, in particular that there are no stray wires and that both the outer shield and inner wire are connected;
2. If you are using any signal boosters, turn them off;
3. Check to see if you have anything like a VCR connected via a UHF fly lead - sometimes these can changed to use channels such as 68.
4. If you have a wideband aerial, if you can try raising it up an additional metre;

Katy: Thats a very nice TV, and certain has an HD tuner - follow Michael advice and bypass the DVD recorder. In fact to be perfectly honest, the DVD recorder is pretty useless for anything other than a DVD player, so dont bother putting it anywhere near the aerial lead.

Have updated the channel listing on my Humax Fox T2 to pick up the new BBC HD channels. But BBC4 HD and BBC News HD are missing. It added BBC3 HD ok so I'm confused as to why the two I have mentioned are missing.
Have reset the EPG and reloaded the channels but no joy.
Any suggestions?

Darren: BBC Three HD is carried on the same multiplex (same signal) as the four pre-existing HD services from BBC, ITV/STV/UTV and Channel 4.
Without knowledge of your location it's not possible to answer such an open-ended question. The new multiplex isn't available everywhere and in some cases it isn't on air yet. Communal aerial systems may need adjustment.

Dave Lindsay: My postcode is KT6 4HY
I have all of the available Freeview HD channels except for the ones above channel 105 (BBC3 HD), so 106, 107 and 108 are not included

Darren: You're in a block of flats so I assume you're using a communal aerial system. Perhaps the system requires adjustment to allow the frequency of the new HD multiplex through, this being C33. C33 was used previously for BBC Two analogue so perhaps once that stopped the system was adjusted to block C33.
Go to the manual tune screen and selected C33 and DVB-T2 mode and see what you get.

Dave Lindsay:
Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion but no channels were detected.
I noticed when I selected C33 the default frequency displayed was 570000 and the Signal and Quality settings dropped to 0%.
I'm guessing the communal aerial is incapable of picking up that channel/frequency

Darren: Communal aerial systems are often filtered so as to allow through channels that are used by the designated transmitter. Thus, when a new channel comes on air it might need adjustment.
When London Live comes on air in February then you might have the same issue.
Contact the party responsible such as your landlord.

I live really close to Sutton Coldfield transmitter , in Lichfield .I have a Ferguson FDH F02HDB receiver ,it's quite old. I can only get the old mutilplex + BBC3HD. I cannot get the new channels BBC4 etc.. I have tried manually tuning on 33 and 40 but the box seems to get confused and then it doesn't pick up anything. It wont list BBC4 HD it shows the same channels on both multiplexes which is weird ???
