What has happened to TCM?
They say that TCM has encrypted to bring it "in line with Turner's other entertainment channels". By this they mean their cartoon channels, Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Toonami.
They claim this will enable them to "deliver effective marketing".
And after over ten years being free-to-air, they say they now need "better control of our signal".
(details from 1997 - when it was called TNT).

Thanks Brian, one other question please.
I have a freeview pc card which picks up film4 plus one, via my digital freeview aerial, yet I cannot recieve this channel on my LG lcd telly with built in freeview or any of my freeview boxes. should I be able to pick this film 4 plus one, channel up on freeview equipment or could this just be an extra channel that the computer card is picking up?
thanks in advance Nigel.

JOHN T JONES: Freeview channels are allocated to the highest bidder, no channels are reserved, aside for those for the BBC (one multiplex) and the Channel 3, 4 and 5 licence holder.

I currently have Sky+ in my sitting room and an ordinary Sky box in my kitchen on a multiroom contract. I would like to stop paying Sky and move to Freesat. What do I have to do/buy to keep being able to watch tv in my kitchen?

Alison Rogers: You don't need to do anything at all, just keep using the box and it will switch to the free channels.
