In Milton Keynes, I am charged £4.40 a month for 7 channels ... Can I disconnect the cable and use an indoor aerial?

Milton Keynes is a special area - it was cabled during the 1970s and 1980s and so all homes are assumed to have FREE access to Channel 1 to 5 on analogue cable.

You CAN stop paying the £4.40 a month and will not lose any service.

I'm not convinced that an indoor aerial (or indeed a loft mounted aerial) will be any good, however. Please see:

The best option is to buy a box and aerial and give it a go. If you can place such an aerial by a window that points east-northeast or southwest you may get a stable signal.
