I am very confused... (it doesnt take much)!! I have a standard box from sky (no recording facilities) and neither do i need it. I have no outside arial.. I live in a house converted into separate flats... as my financial standing has changed dramatically, and I have been with sky for over 6yrs, I am thinking that I should stop my subscription and use my standard box to view channels.. My only worry is what channels I will not be able to pick up, and what the cost implication will be with sky if any? Is this the best recourse to take or should i go the freeview route? Can any1 assist a doddery ol' woman in this query??? :).

Gemqueen: You will get the channels listed on the All free TV channels | ukfree.tv - 10 years of independent, free digital TV advice page.
Just tell Sky to stop taking money from you. The dish and box are yours.
You don't need to do anything else.

Dear Briantist,
Thank you very much for your reply. Most appreciated.. Obviously I won't get sky1, sky atlantic etc or my beloved CI channels.. but.. it's not life threatening! Thanks again Briantist. Now off the give Sky the good news! ;)

I have a Sony TV - very good Freeview signal from Waltham. Panasonic TV all BBC channels have disappeared from 21st March.
Any ideas? I would be most grateful (complete novice)

Did you know your menu's are all mucked up because line 68 of css sets font to sans-serif;
replacing correct setting on line 3, and the sans-serif; font is too big for your layout!

E4 is also on Freeview Light and Freesat/FSFS, except in Wales.

Funny old world isn't it! I live bang in the middle of Wales and yet I can't get BBC Radio Wales on DAB but I can get BBC Asian!!! Can't even get Radio Wales on FM unless I erect an external aerial of at least 4 elements and point it at Carmel. I don't like the way that Freeview tend to advertise loads of channels, come to sunny Mid Wales and get the basics....sorry, I just needed a moan!!!
