Hi there
I recently bought a Samsung TV with built-in digital freeview. It is connected to my aerial socket in the wall. I get great quality signal 80% of the time, but most of the Channel 4 channels seem give me interference, with occasional chequer-board type coloured boxes strobing across the screen and sound interference too. It doesn't seem to happen during Advert breaks. Can you please help me? This is extremely frustrating for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I live in Littleover Derby, post code DE233UF, over the last 2 weeks I have been having problems with my free view.

Every night at about 20:30 - 21:00 all my ITV, C4 and E4 channels start breaking up to the point were they are unwatchable. Then the following morning they are ok again. It is as if when it gets to peak time I loose signal with these channels. At all other times all the channels are perfect.

I have a decent Samsung LCD TV with built in freeview, going through a booster with my ariel in the loft.

Can anyone please advise how I can resolve this, is it worth me buying a new high gain ariel?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi,

I have had no problem with our freeview reception untill this week (Fife Scotland). All channels are now heavily pixilated and I am unable to get any sound. The ariel is mounted in the loft which I realise is not ideal, however, my neighbours have the same set up and are unaffected. I have checked all cables and have tried to retune the freeview box without success. Any suggestions would be welcome.
Many thanks

Chris Smith: If you have checked everything on the Freeview reception has changed? | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice page, I would suggest you move the aerial to the roof.

I get loads of interference whenever my neighbour is on his mobile Phone.

I know he is on the Phone as I can hear him talking, then there is a silent pause, then he talks again.

Apart from stealing his phone, what can I do to prevent this?
