Can I use my digital freeview box abroad and receive English channals?
No. You cannot receive signals from UK Freeview transmitters abroad. You box will be able to receive local "DVB-T" transmittions, if there are any.
You can use satellite equipment pointing at the Astra 2D satellite from some European countries however to get around 100 UK free-to-air channels.

I mIn the Canary Islands and have a Sky box with an additional TV connected via coaxial cable to the bedroom.. Will a Spanish Samsung TV work ok connected in this way I currently have a TV connected brought from England

Imogen Samuel: You should be able to change the settings on any modern TV to work with the Sky box, but you will have sound problems until you change the TV to be "PAL I" as used in the UK, opposed to the "PAL B/G" used in Spain.
To be honest, you would be better off getting another Sky or Freesat box and attaching that to the dish for the other set. Then you will be able to watch different programmes on each set.

We are wanting to buy a TV to use in France to watch French TV (using an aerial and TNT) and then later when (we hope) our French is improved will add a FreeSat box for UK TV/radio.
Could you please confirm my impression from the comments above that as long as the set is full HD and comes with built in Freeview HD we should be able to watch and hear the French HD broadcasts. Specifically we are looking at the Toshiba 32RV753B, which we could buy from Amazon uk, but is not available from Amazon France.

Karin: Yes, that is correct, that Freeview HD TV will work with the French broadcasts.

Hi Briantist
I am about to live the country and I have
one sky hd box and 1 sky digibox but as far as I remember the viewing card has been cancelled when I upgradet to sky Hd.
If I will be able to sell this boxes would the buyer need any satelite dish or needs to be a Sky dish?
Any option in case they don't have a sky dish?
Thank you in advance
Angelo

Angelo: The boxes are yours, you can sell them to whoever you like.
The purchaser will need a dish pointing at the correct satellites to to use with the boxes.
