bob you can do as you wanted as long as you have an aerial then just switch between inputs ie hdmi for sky and aerial rf freeview. if you can adjust the rf chanel that sky plus or freeview outputs on or they are just on different chanels to start with you could use rf for both but it wont give hd just a bit better.that way its just a case of tune chanel one to sky and two to freeview.

I say aerial by the way as the freesat will prolly cost as much or more than buying an aerial and a freeview box. any future replacement is cheaper and you have a failsafe if either sky or terestrial has a problem.
