mrdtv: There is a whole year of 61/62 clearance, and then the launch of more HD services from 20 masts, then clearing of the 700MHz band for mobile broadband...

I think the 700Mhz clearance could be years off and if the European economy collapses it won't happen anytime soon.

Yesterday I had problems and retuned in the evening - all was fine - today, maybe because of the rain reception is useless, and when I retuned I lost the ITV etc channels. I'm on the Kendal relay. Is there a problem, does anyone know? Thanks

Sorry, just looked at Kendal transmitter info, 'over the next week liable to iterruption' it says - great, so is there a chance I won't be able to watch the last F1 weekend?!

Judy: I can't say for definate, but the retune on Wednesday obviously meant that the service was interrupted.

Perhaps the message you've quoted relates to that change and not some other work that is to be carried out but refers to the whole week rather than the day of the change.

Mike Potter: Refer to:

Digital UK - Planned Engineering Works

Quite a few digital relay transmitters, including Langholm, are subject to "service shutdowns" over this week.
