Want to see upcoming DAB transmitters or local TV areas? See UK Free TV
Again, thank you for your feedback.
The first change I have made is to show some of the planned DAB transmitters (with a plus symbol) on the DAB transmitter map pages, for example Map of all DAB transmitters - in Norfolk, England shows the six seven planned BBC transmitters in Norfolk:
I have added a "coloured overview" map to the Local television on Freeview map page. You can now clearly see all the projected coverage areas for the new "Local TV multiplexes":
On the ITV map pages - see ITV, UTV and STV regions - overview map, I have made a few changes.
I have received confirmation from Ofcom that the Midhurst transmitter group is in the ITV Meridian "West" area for news. This is not the same as ITV Sales show for the adverts for the region.
I have also, for the purpose of mapping called the news area to the north, "ITV Meridian/Central (Thames Valley micro region)", even though ITV Sales still offer to sell advertisements to the Central South (Oxford, Ridge Hill and relays) region as a whole.
For this to work, I have merged Ridge Hill into Central West.
I have also split the "Border TV" region into two, as Ofcom have agreed with ITV to provide a special service for viewers in the Scottish area.

Just a thank you for all your efforts. You must wonder what the recipients of your email updates think. Well I enjoy them and my understanding of TV transmissions is gradually improving!
Thanks.

I do wish ITV didnt keep changing the ITV regions... for example Hannington and Oxford carry same ITV meridian news.. used to be Central or Thames Valley... I prefered to have a choice of ITV news i know i can do it be freesat... never mind.

rob: I did cover this on the Whatever happened to Central South, Meridian Newbury and ITV Thames Valley? | About UK Free TV | ukfree.tv - 11 years of independent, free digital TV advice page.
ITV Thames Valley (Hannington and Oxford) existed from 4 December 2006 to 8 February 2009, when it switched to an opt-out of Meridian (South Coast).
"Central South" existed from January 1989. In 2006, Ridge Hill got given back to Central West.

No major problems with Free-view, but the performance of my "you-view" box is slow, very slow. I have to wait for fibre optics but I cannot
find out when this will happen, do you know ??
