Mounteagle (Highland, Scotland) DAB transmitter

Are there any planned engineering works or unexpected transmitter faults on the Mounteagle (Highland, Scotland) mast?

No problems on any service. BBC

UK Free TV shows the coverage area for a radio transmitter as a coloured overlay (orange for FM, other colours for DAB) on the grey map. We have computed the coverage by combining the terrain with the official radiation pattern. A single click will select the transmitter to view the coverage for a single site, and a double click goes to a page showing full details. Click on the buttons in the right-hand corner of the map to choose from different frequencies (or multiplexes for DAB).

kuergun: There haven't been any plans announced for Planet Rock's coverage to be expanded, so don't hold your breath.

bbc reception advice. Case number
CAS-4714051YXP6BQ
I contacted you on 29th December to report a faulty DAB serviice. The fault was corrected and we have had perfect reception since.
Yesterday our DAB reception of BBC radio 4 Scotland fell to about half strength and has not returned to full strength. Our other stations both BBC and commercial are coming through with full strength.

Ruth bowman: This appears to be your first post on UK Free TV, which is an independent website that has no connection with the BBC or any other broadcaster or transmitter company. There isn't a separate version of BBC Radio 4 for Scotland, so could you clarify whether you meant BBC Radio 4 or BBC Radio Scotland.

P.S. Posting your phone number in a public viewable comment was completely unnecessary and is never recommended.

StevensOnln1: "There isn't a separate version of BBC Radio 4 for Scotland"

That is an assumption on your part, is it not?

If you look at my dump of the Com78 National network,

All of the free TV channels on PGSTART790 in the UK

you will see that the service_ids of all the BBC "non-regional" radio services are different for Scotland.

Compare BBC A Scotland with all the other BBC A multiplexes:

js: My reply was in response to Ruth bowman's post about DAB, not Freeview, where there is only one UK wide version of BBC Radio 4 on the BBC National mux which has no localised versions of any service. I gather that what is now BBC Radio Scotland started out as the Home Service (later to become BBC Radio 4) with Scottish opt-outs, however it has been a completely separate service for many years. The aim of my post was to see clarification as to which station was being affected, which was unclear.

Mike: is there any likelihood of Planet Rock being accessible from mount eagle. Used to be able to get it but not any more. All the stations insist that you listen to their annoying prat of a dj instead of playing music all the time like Planet Rock

Mark Bryant: The SDL multiplex which carries Planet Rock has expanded coverage by adding 19 new transmitters over the last few weeks (see list at the link below). There have been no further expansion plans announced. Planet Rock was previously carried on the Digital 1 multiplex which has far higher coverage, but was moved to the new SDL mux in order to reduce costs at the expense of coverage.

I'm currently on Barra in the OuterHebrides and can receive BBC DAB stations. According to UK FreeTV the nearest DAB transmitters are near Inverness or Glasgow. Is that really the case ?

Robert Lee: I don't think this website's database is up to date for DAB transmitters, there are many new transmitter sites which aren't shown on here. There are various transmitters broadcasting the BBC National DAB multiplex in the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
