Deene White: Hi, Deene. To get help from this website, we need to know roughly where you are so that we can look into transmitter faults for you. Please come back with the postcode of a local shop, Garage or Post Office. You also need to check whether your neighbours are having exactly the same problems as you, because if they aren't. then there may be problems with your installation that you might need to go through, so ask your neighbours and then report back to this site with a postcode or town name. Richard, Norwich.

Jim Davidson: Hi, Jim. If you read my post to John McQuistan, I have included a web link to BBC Contact Us and a telephone number for Arqiva, the transmitter company. Cambret Hill is a relay which is fed by Sandale. According to the BBC, you should be using Sandale, whose frequencies are as follows: Radio 1 97.7, Radio 2 88.1,
Radio 3 90.3, Radio 4 92.5,Radio Scotland 94.7, whereas the Cambret Hill relay, whose power is only 128 watts, uses a different set of frequencies. Maybe both you and John McQuistan should re-tune to Sandale, whose frequencies I have stated above. Richard, Norwich.

Heather: Hi, Heather. It seems that you would use the Darvel transmitter which has no reported problems and so there could be a problem wit the communal tv aerial system in your flats. You need to contact your Council and ask them to investigate. In the meantime, check all connections inside your own flat and try a re-tune, firstly with the aerial disconnected completely, and then another retune with the aerial lead reconnected. Richard, Norwich.

Don: Hi, Don. This is what Wikipedia has to say on the subject:-"ITV4 Plus closed on 7 May 2014. On 20 May 2014, ITV4 +1 moved to channel 26 on Freeview, moving to 62 on 1 September 2014 following the launch of an ITVBe placeholder." Richard, Norwich.

mick: Hi, Mick. First of all, we need to know where roughly in Leicester you live, so that we can work out if, indeed there is an alternative Freeview transmitter that you could, in fact, use, to receive East Midlands programmes. Either the name of your district or the nearest nearby main road number or the postcode of a local shop, Garage or Post Office would do. It is worth us checking this for you before recommending an alternative to Freeview such as Freesat. Hope to hear from you again during this afternoon, Richard, Norwich.

Winter Hill (Bolton, England) transmitter
Sunday 17 July 2016 1:55PM
Norwich

Alan:Hi, Alan. First of all, we need you to confirm that you are using the Winter Hill transmitter on Rivington Moor near Bolton to receive your tv signals. This would mean that your aerial is pointing West-North-West from your house. Digital UK is currently stating that viewers may possibly be getting a weak signal from Winter Hill which would suggest to me that some sort of engineering works are going on there. I take it that you've checked things like aerial pointing in the right direction (- an aerial can swing round 'offline'), the condition of the cable from the aerial into the house, the condition of the connection at the wall-plate aerial socket in the living room, the condition of the connection of the fly-lead to the plug going into the wall plate socket and the condition of the connection at the aerial plug where it is plugged into your tv. It's important that you check all these things so that your own installation can be ruled out of the equation before we 'blame' the transmitter! Richard, Norwich. PS Quest +1 and Quest are on different multiplexes and so the transmitter work could be affecting one but not the other!

Bay TV Swansea
Sunday 17 July 2016 3:50PM
Norwich

Alan Whittaker: Hi, alan. Bay TV Swansea is only transmitted from the Kilvey Hill transmitter at present and so if you do not get your tv signals from that transmitter you will not be able to receive it. If you do use Kilvey Hill, Bay TV should be on Channel 8, but if it's not coming up, you need to do a couple of retunes to bring it up. Firstly, carry out a retune with the aerial DISCONNECTED. This is so your tv can FORGET its previous setup. It should come back with a message, 'No channels found', or something similar. Then reconnect the aerial lead and retune again. This time, all available channels including Bay TV Swansea will be found. For Bay TV, simply switch to Channel 8. Hope this helps, Richard, Norwich.

Map of all DAB transmitters

Nick Anderson: Hi, Nick.We have 'Trial Norwich' here, with coverage from Mattishall to Acle and Long Stratton to North Walsham. Ditto variety of stations on the multiplex, but also including a couple that is carried on the Sound Digital multiplex elsewhere - we don't have Sound Digital here yet due to possible interference with European DAB+! Ofcom extended our Trial DAB and I expect it did to yours as well. It is clear to me that Ofcom sees these local minimuxes forming the future digital radio DAB and DAB+ provision IN THIS COUNTRY. Richard, Norwich.

John Preece: Hi again, Jon. I am sorry that you are experiencing difficulties with the reception of local tv transmissions in South Wales and now that you have eliminated your own receiving installation from the equation, I would suggest you now report the issue either to the BBC via their 'contact us' web page - search on the BBC website for this, or alternatively phone the transmission company Arqiva, tomorrow morning on 01962 823434. Richard, Norwich. PS Whichever of the two you decide to contact, explain everything you've done and please do make sure they get to know the final outcomes of your receiving 'Made in Cardiff' interspersed with 'Bay TV Swansea'.

Jane Gash: Hi, Jane. I'm afraid you have gone to the wrong website. This is not the uk tv channels website You need www.uktv.co.uk for uktv channels. This website is called ukfree.tv and is to help viewers who are having 'Freeview' or 'Freesat' or 'Sky' or radio broadcast reception difficulties and so we help people by giving technical advice but we don't have anything to do with the programmes that are broadcast on Freeview channels. I think that you may actually need www.cbsdrama.tv/uk/index.php I hope this information will help you, Richard, Norwich.
