Below are all of Les Nicol's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Apologies Leslie and just in case anyone else is confused on the LNB here. I miss spelled the product it should read "Inverto". Two satellite products are similarly named, but are quite different "Irdeto" is a form of encryption applied to pay per view TV systems.

Stuart: Thanks for this info. I have a 32" pixel plus Philips LCD TV wall mounted in the bedroom - probably one of Philips last before they pulled out of manufacturing TV's

James Blair : It is currently only as yet available by inputing the parameters manually when using an FTA or "Freesat" receiver in non "Freesat" mode - renaming and saving the channel. You would need to check the process of adding with a SKY receiver. It's been this way for a while now. Perhaps Brian, or some of the other regular contributors here might have more info to offer on when inclusion on the SKY, Freesat EPG's will be confirmed.

Les Nicol: James - My apologies - You only need to rename and save - the parameters are already set up, but the channel is listed numerically rather than name listed - so once identified simply proceed as mentioned.

Anita Ozola: I think you will have a difficulty in receiving UK TV with a 1 metre dish. Maybe with a 1.5 or 1.8, but suggest you check this with a local installer before proceeding.

Joanna - It might be worth you considering the "Freesat" option given your location. It means buying your own receiver with a dish installation. This isn't overly expensive and is a one off cost, but would resolve your limited choice of channels with "Freeview" in your area.

Calley: You should be able to receive "Freesat" in this area of Germany. I would have have this checked out by a local installer making sure that there are no obvious local line of sight issues first. I would go for one of the "Humax" boxes as these have very sensitive tuners. You may get away with a 60cm dish, but I suspect an 80cm will be required.
The receiver can be obtained and shipped to you from the likes of Amazon or possibly some other UK outlet.
P.S. Friends, near the French/Swiss border have good reception on a 60cm dish, but with s new satellite coming into play, that will have a more focused fixed beam over the UK, I would opt for the larger 80cm dish if you can.

Tom: Try a "Freesat" re-tune - three additional channels were added yesterday i.e Challenge TV Pick TV and Sky News and that maybe related. Worth checking out especially as your getting 100% signal and PQ.

Carlos Santos: Try a rescan of the "Freesat" Channels as some have recently been added

Leslie Mcintosh - Just to add to jb38's input. A dish suitable for you would be either a 54/64cm Triax TD series (metal) or the alternative fibre glass models from the same manufacture coupled to an Irderto black single LNB. Such a combination will give you the best possible signal strength and PQ (picture) quality on a correctly figured set up.
