If you can't get Divis Darren then Freesat is your best alternative, as KMJ has quite correctly explained.

Even if you have access to a full Freeview transmitter it's still worth while investing in Freesat as there are many more services that aren't carried on Freeview.

2 years ago the hotel that we're now staying in here in Salou had BBC 1 and 2 on the TV in our room, which was good because we could watch the news as well as the tennis from Wimbledon, and catch up with Eastenders

I've noticed this time we only have BBC World, CNN International, and CNBC Europe, obviously due to the satellite changes. Not really much use.

Surely A system could be introduced that when UK citizens are abroad, you simply key in your TV licence number and this would give live access to online streams without rights restrictions ?

James:

Carnmoney Hill is what's known as a Freeview Light transmitters I.e. it only has the basic PSB multiplexes.

To get the channels outside the coverage areas of the main Freeview transmitters you'll need to invest in Freesat.

This is a free to air satellite system that requires a dish.

Currently, no signal at this location from stations on Com 7 and Com 8 so I presume both multiplexes are off air.

Maybe some engineering work in preparation for next Wednesday's retune ?
