So there will be a need to retune for Sandy Heath...

09 May 2012?
And the final National retune day is?
Oh, and I saw somewhere, but can't find it, at what date do the rest of the Mux's go high power? I get enough RF down the co-ax to split/2 and then split/4, except I'm still having to use an amp for the lower power mux's, as they are borderline.
regards,

ITV3 OK from Sandy.
Might be a good idea to include expected number of channels to be found after tuning, somewhere on the Tx/Mux/CH information pages?

Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum. I know of a Humax Freeview DVR which from time to time, doesn't record at the programed time. Anyone with similar experience? It is receiving from Sandy Heath, no mux's or ch show any pixilations, signal strength and quality looks OK. Also tend to get Oxford off the back of the beam, being in MK13. Possibly the latest retune may help, but all this missed timed recording reared its ugly head mostly after the last retune at the end of August. Humax owner suffering despair at the thought of another retune and the loss of timed recording of Dr Who!!!

Still a bit confused...
Which and when do Mux A, C and ArqB go to higher power? i.e. around 170-180kW or do they?

Doh, more retuning of UHF modulators to avoid the new mux freq's! I have quite a few "customers" that use UHF modulators to carry SAT TV around the home TV network. Having to do Digital retunes and re-channelling the modulators is becoming a habit!

Thanks for the power change info. Could not the change date and some details be inserted onto the graphics showing the mux's. i.e. the "sandy coloured" horizontal fingers, for want of a better description. .............................. 23Nov12, 8K, CH52, 180kW ) ............................../ long time since I did ascii graphics!!

Been getting interference on Ch27 for quite some time now. I use a Topfield for recording Feeview and the signal strength app shows all Mux's apart from Ch27 as Rx @ 72% and Q @ 100%. Ch27 shows Rx @ 69 and Q @ 81. This is unusual.
High pressure should be gone soon, so time will tell as to whether the reception returns to normal

Hasn't hit me in the eye, but how many TV channels should I look for when retuning?
Current retune shows 184.
Could the total channels be shown on the web pages. Thus making it easy to confirm missing channels/groups?

Somewhere on the web a few months ago, I found a PDF listing the closing date of Sandy Heath Com7 and Com8. Unfortunately, no longer to be found. So, what are the closing dates? and whilst we are at it, the same question for Oxford (Beckley). Hopefully HD content will return on another T to T2 mux,
TVM, Cheers.

The +1 is only good for an hour. I would much prefer it if progs were delayed at least two hours. I have a Dual channel recording Topfield ( in fact I have two) and even that cannot use the +1 hour delay if there is another prog in the way!
Let alone watch the +1 and other prog clashes. Sometimes you just can't win, and than it's the BBC Iplayer or commercial equivalents... and if that doesn't work, I find utorrent a very useful piece of software.
