Are these going to be the new HD channels? If yes, there is only room for 2 channel 4 channels.

Why no multiplexes on channels 51, 52 and 57?
Why couldn't they put the two new dvb-t2 multiplexes on these channels instead of on channels 34 and 35? Interference problems?

Just looked at Emley Moor transmitter and they got a multiplex at channel 34 too. Won't that cause inference with Pontop Pike's channel 34? Or is there an error somewhere?

I noticed the local mix only carries 3 channels. Will capacity be increased later for more stations in the future?
when will com 7 and 8 come online?

Is there any plans to convert all the dtt multiplexes to dvb-t2 256qam 32ke 2/3?
With a bandwidth of 40.2Mbps there would be room for between 13 to 20 SD channels per mux. That would be upto 100 SD channels over 5 dvb-t2 muxes plus 18 HD channels.
Any technical reason why this can't be done?

Didn't they encrypt around 1992?
I became a Sky customer the tail end of 1993 and the basic package then was £6.99. I remember being angry when they put the subscription package up by £3 a few months later.

You only need a TV License to watch live broadcast TV. You do not currently need a license to watch catch up TV services.

They were free to air at the beginning. Cartoon Network/TNT were later encrypted as part of the basic package.

Why do they have to sell off part of the UHF spectrum to mobile phone operators?
Couldn't they have used the unused VHF band for mobile phones?(VHF is unused isn't it?)
Wasn't one of the reasons why they wanted to switch off the analogue transmissions to stop interference?
Am receiving Pontop Pike. With the two new muxes coming soon which are C33 and C34 that means for a lot of people here a change of aerial. A lot of people here still have a C/D band aerial, upgrading to a wideband aerial wasn't needed as all channels were in between C48 and C68. This is an unneeded expense that a lot of people can't afford. Who's got £100 spare up here these days?
