Below are all of KMJ, Derby's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Judith: When scanning, the tuner in the TV stores the first set of channels found (ie Belmont on C22) in the "normal" positions in the channel list, then if any variations are found later in the scan these are stored in the 800s of the channel list. The dvd recorder either doesn't see the Belmont signal, or stores the strongest signal in the normal positions and displaces the weaker variants to the 800s. Belmont is only 15 degrees off beam for your Waltham aerial so it is to be expected that reception is possible from both transmitters. Unfortunately you will need to retune on 12th October 2011 when SDN at Waltham changes to 8k mode, along with a power increase.

Jon: Check what channel frequency the Sky box is tuned to. It sounds like it is currently using a frequency that is now in use at Waltham or one of its relays for digital transmission. If this is the case you will need to change the RF output channel to an unused frequency.

Jon: Please see the page -How do I change the RF output channel on a Sky Digibox?

John hewitt: The Stamford relay only transmits the 3 PSB muxes (Freeview Light) on C47, C41 and C44(HD). For a full service if you are using Waltham the frequencies are C61, C54-, C29, C56,C57 and C58(HD).

jonathan leivers: The Sky feed is an analogue signal, so you will have to switch the TV to analogue to tune it in. If the TV is digital only, the only way of receiving the Sky feed would be to connect equipment which incorporates an analogue tuner (such as a VCR) to the scart socket of the TV, then select AV on the TV to display the output of the VCR.

Terry R. Waltham now transmits on C61(MuxBBCA), C54(MuxD3+4), C58(HD), C29(MuxA/SDN), C56(MuxArqA) and C57(MuxArqB).

Mary Thomson: If you look in the 800s of the channel list you should find the East Midlands channels. Most receivers store channels in the normal places from the first transmitter that is found during the scan, in your case Belmont on C22(BBC) and C25(YTV). Any alternatives found subsequently are then placed in the 800s. To get the East Midlands in positions 1 to 3 clear the channel list by doing a factory reset, then if possible do a manual tune on C61, C54-, C29, C56, and C57. If a manual tune is not possible start the scan with the aerial unplugged, wait till C26 is reached so the first two Belmont frequencies have been missed out, then plug the aerial back in before the tuner scans C29, the first of the Waltham frequencies to be found.

Stroud Dave: Have you tried Wenvoe for the COM muxes? Aerial pointing WSW, set for horizontal polarisation. Regarding the HD mux from the Stroud relay, it might be that the aerial is sited in a null for that frequency and just needs slight repositioning.Otherwise you might have single frequency interference blocking the signal on C50.

Jo: Check that the channels tuned in on the BBC channels are from Sutton Coldfield on C41+. It is possible that signals from The Wrekin on C26 or Waltham on C61 have been stored instead of those from Sutton.
