Below are all of David's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.Well I have had it for 3 years and not over the moon about them.
Dissapionted with the HD selection they give, only BBC1, ITV1 and CH4.
Think they should add Five (another thread on this site does say I think this year), Film 4 and maybe other BBC and ITV could be added. Anyone seriously wanting HD via Satellite should consider SKY free or subscription versions before deciding.
Looking at new TV sets seems easier to buy a built in Freeview HD than Freesat built in.
What did the advert mean by ON Demand TV?
I can only get BBC iPlayer is that it?
On Demand TV I see mentioned these days is a CH4 brand.

Seems a piontless advert to me when I thought most of us using digital allready.
Will it be shown on remaining Anolgue only I wonder or other platforms.
Not sure about the statement aerial upgrade might be needed as it helps the cowboy aerial boys sell digital aerials.
Was looking at new TV sets today some labeled Freeview HD and also HD Ready label too!

Maybe they will start them after people bought Freeview HD TV sets and boxes for people to find out they need to replace them to get new features.

Yes Brian I have found in the past that TV specifications have things in them but the TV sets and boxes do not. You only find out after purchase when that part of the spec. starts to be used by the broadcasters.

Just been ready todays Daily Mail, a big advert from PC World and Currys with 8 TV sets on it.
According to this advert.
Only one has Freeview.
4 are full HD.
1 is HD ready.
3 are 3D
6 can have a Blu-Ray at extra cost.
So it look as if Freeview is a dead word from this advert.

Sorry missed the 109 BBC HD out, do not realy count that as a proper program, have heard that if BBC2 goes HD this HD one will go off.
( There is a Japanese News program as which I forgot).
It is Panasonic Freesat Tv and only after 3 years will it now do BBC iPlayer as I understand it Panasonic will not upgrade further.
I have enquired of Panasonic which of their present TV sets will do all the new specs coming out in the near future and the ITV player plus the CH4 and Five ONDemand, they have as yet not responded. Done this just in case I go for larger screen size this Christmas. I not want to get caught out again as I did in 2008.

Yes Freesat do broadcast the BBC iPlayer and a HD Freesat TV or box is required.
You would have to check before purchase the the particular TV or box will actualy do it.
Other question to be asked would be what about ITV Player and CH4 and Five ONDemand.

So the word Freeview then in this case is dead. Today with TV sets having digital built in the word Freeview now is only being applied to boxes if that.
Does full HD mean the 4 TV sets have terrestrial HD built in?

Just tried 39 and it says The Zone will be back at 6 pm. So got that, no idea if I had it before this morning, thanks for info.
It is realy a shame Freeview system does not tell what the new thing it found is.
If you had not told me I would never know Ch5 +1 had appeared at the next new program found time.
