Update to my post of 17th Oct. found it to be an issue with the Tv - downloaded and installed up date and OK now.

We had a fire at electricity sub station last week and seem to be operating on reduced power - would this affect sound quality on HD stations?
Picture is great but every now and again the sound hiccups - rather like a microphone cutting off and missng a bit of a word.
Not doing it all the time though.
have checked on connections and they are OK
