Below are all of Michael's postings, with the most recent are at the bottom of the page.In Omagh, getting Freeview fine from Brougher on my DVB T2 in bedroom and MPEG4 in kitchen, but no RTE at all. Took MPEG4 set back to supplier and he retuned it and got 101 channels inc 8 RTE. Brought it home and RTE had disappeared - no signal. Supplier tuned to Strabane. Someone told be they had heard that RTE from Brougher delayed till 25th????

Michael: To Briantist. I took the MPEG4 set back to the shop where assistant retuned and there there were, all 8 RTE channels. He is receiving from Strabane. Took the set home, and all 8 gone (Brougher). All othere Freeview channels perfect. The DVB T2 set still has all Freeview channels, perfect, but not RTE. TV is marked HD Ready. I know there is some difference but I don't understand it.

michael: The shop is in Gortrush. Apparently they have no Saorview coverage either, according to the map. The channels the set picked up there were 801 etc. The two sets I was talking about are a DVB T2 currently connected to an old aerial on the chimney and an MPEG4 connected to a separate MPEG4 aerial at the rear gable. Do you mean that if I move the DVB T2 to the kitchen (MPEG 4 aerial) I should get a result?

I got a Freeview box from ASDA. It is a Goodmans HD at £39.97 (no this was a one-off that they found in the back). Main delivery soon. Tried it on my MPEG4 set with digital aerial. Nothing, but got all my usual Freeview channels, no RTE. Then tried it on another newish tv in bedroom (old aerial but boosted). Lost everything. Tried again, still nothing. Third time all back except RTE. How do I get RTE? Am I missing something?

I live at BT78 5RR adjacent to the Brookmount Rd, Omagh. According to the map, I should not be getting a signal from Brougher, But I am, on both sets at the front of the house, both with built-in Freeview, one of them being DVB T. The TV at the back of the house is MPEG 4 with appropriate aerial. This is the one that concerns me most. I get all the Freeview channels but no RTE. I have tried re-tuning several times wih no joy. I tried a Goodmans HD box with no better results other than jumbled stations. Any ideas?

Michael Cooney: I was informed by the man who erected my aerial that my MPEG 4 TV will not receive RTE because there is a hill just behind me. As for Freeview the same set is no good on its own. To get RTE from Brougher I apparently need a Freeview HD box. Tried a Goodmans HD box - no good. Local electrical have them at £90! Ice something or other. Or a large retailer has them as part of a HD recorder for £200.

When exactly can I get TG4? TV in one room on "old" TV with built-in Freeview not showing ch 51, 52, 53, TV in back room Mpeg4 with appropriate Mpeg4 aerial likewise. In Omagh, Brougher
