It wasnt out of the blue. Channel 1 announced it was ending months ago. You cant blame them if you missed the news story.

Will channel 5HD be available from Machen? If so when? Any chance of Channel 4 HD?

Channel one's closure was announced months ago. Challenge only shows classic game shows, so no sci-fi.
