Andrew: You've got a newish Humax with triple tuners, so logically, all 3 tuners should have the same signal level if they are on the same mux! If they dont, that might point to a fault with the box.
Certainly have a look at your system, but its an idea to try out someone else's system as well - if your having the same problem, thats more likely to be the box, although its odd to have two duff tuners.

Caroline Brown: Further to StevensOnln1's excellent advise, what is the model of your TV, as well as the set-top box?
If you have a flat TV, then usually you connect it up via HDMI leads, not scart, and even relatively old TV's should have a Freeview tuner already built in. If the new box is an HD one, then you'll need to use HDMI to get the best use out of it.

Gui: Look at the digitaluk and terrain links below your question - your 22km from Black Hill. Thats not bad, but its an indoor aerial, which are normally pretty rubbish.
Indoor aerials work as well as they can - but at least try to get it as high as possible, and point it in the right direction. Then try tuning in the TV. Frankly, it might be OK, but if you can ask a neighbour to borrow their aerial for 10min while you tune it in, your better off than using the portable one initially.

Mrs Mf Deacon: We need your postcode to diagnose anything, plus you need to be clear what you mean by 'interference' - does the picture break up? Does it happen at the same time each day, and have you checked your signal strength?

Jan van Heurck: Your just 15km from the transmitter with a clear path - why do you have a booster?
Check signal strength - although that mux is on relatively low power, you might still have a high signal strength and its worth checking the other muxes as well to make sure that you don'y have a fault with your system.

malcolm preston: Yes, you can get Tv via the net, but its much easier to get your aerial fixed first.
Check your signal strength, and what you should be tuned to. Then follow the signal path back. Even a cheap replacement aerial lead from the back of the TV might be a cure. If your aerial etc is old, then its likely that time has simply worn it down, and so a replacement is needed. Have a look on the riggers page for an idea of prices. etc.

Peter: just look at the transmitters page on this site - which says its fine. So...
By the sound of it, your system has gone kaput, and its nothing to do with the transmitter at all.

Andrew: I'm on Waltham and have had no problems at all. Your also half the distance away from the transmitter that I am, so its likely to be your system.
Check actual signal strength on both Humax and TV - if they are both very low, then its your system - follow the pathway back up to the aerial. If they are very high, that can cause what looks like similar problems - see 'too much of a good thing' on this site for more details.
