Come on guys, it was funny when you think about it. If a stand up comedian had used the same phrases, you would all be rolling about, admit it.
If my remarks have caused offence to anyone then I apologise, unreservedly.
Can't help thinking though that the term 'installation' would have avoided any of this, and yes I do accept that 'erection' is also a proper term for putting up an aerial.
The whole episode is hardly worth a flame war after all.
Have a good day all and be wary of the high winds.

Wutty, I still think it was funny, don't lose your sense of humour, it's about the only thing that isn't taxed, YET lol.

Hahaha, Brian "satisfaction with every erection",
Steve P, "Desai and Patel Aerial Installers
You've tried the cowboys, now try the Indians"
Brilliant, after all, advertising is all about getting people to notice you, and the play on words with the double meanings has kept comedy writers going for years.
Keith KB Aerials, "If you cant have a laugh and a smile what the hell is the point in living" Fully agree with you.
It is my sincere hope that all you riggers get as many 'erections' as you can handle in the future.

Just a bit of light hearted banter Keith but we may have 'fallen off' topic again so as long as you don't fall off your ladder laughing, all will be well, night to you too.

This 'Digital' thing is like the TV Times Brian, 'I never knew there was so much in it' lol. Great explanation at the top of the page, well written so that us numpties out here can, at least, get some of the picture. Often wondered what the 2k, 8k, QAM things were all about, but now well on the way to understanding, (well a little). Really, very interesting read. Thank you so much for all you do to help us non techy guys understand things.

Peter, they may be on the higher numbers, I lost a few today but find they are there in the high numbers. You need to clear your old channels completely and check the high numbers to see if they are there. i.e. I have lost 'Yesterday' etc on 12 but found it on 0851.

Brian, and I am pleased to find that I am getting uninterrupted tv on all channels in my bedroom, on a Phillips (Pace) DTR220 box fed by an old portable set top aerial. Just a 10 inch loop. Brilliant. You have been a great help during the whole process. Thank you so much.

Ben, Certain boxes are not compatible with 8k transmission modes, you should check the listings to see.
"UK Free TV is here to help people. If you are rude or disrespectful all of your posts will be deleted and you will be banned."
Ask in a proper manner and I'm sure Brian will be happy to advise you.

Neil Barnett. License Fee. I'm afraid you will also find that if you have had your license for 28 days, then you are not eligible for a refund for the rest of the year. This is what I was told by TV Licensing when I applied for a refund for the 6 months I had no TV equipment installed.
Typical of all taxes, if you owe them £1 they want it yesterday, if they owe you £1 it will take at least 6 weeks (if you get it at all)
