BBC iPlayer on Freesat | Freesat
Tuesday 3 May 2011 2:07PM

Hi I have a Humax Foxsat-HDR and have recently tried to get the BBC iPlayer working so connected the box to the LAN but...
When I go on to BBC1 and press the red button, I get the folowing list...
News, Sport, weather, Business, Entertainment,Royal Wedding, Sport multiscreen, Watch BBC HD ... but no iPlayer.
It also says "BBC iPlayer is coming to Freesat HD - 7001
Can someone explain how I get the iPlayer working?

Thanks but that wasn't the problem.. I discovered that the iPlayer is now on Channel 901.
Maybe the video to advise on the set-up need to be updated.

BBC iPlayer on Freesat | Freesat

I think that you should setup the airport as a wireless bridge and plug the humax freesat into the Ethernet port on the airport.
This should pick up the wireless signal from your wireless router and provide it through the Lan Cable to the Humax.

I don't see why this should not work. You should also be able to check the connection to the Airport Express by plugging it into your laptop and using the LAN cable as your connection to your network.
Unfortunately I do not have an Airport Express, but reading all the documentation available, it should be able to be configured as a bridge for this purpose.

I know that this is about the BBC I-Player but what is happening with the ITV I-Player - it seems to have been in Beta for ever. is there any news on it being produced as a full service on Freesat?

Whole house digital TV | Installing

If you only want to watch the same channel all around the house, you could buy an RF modulator and use that from your scary socket at the back of your Freesat device.
However, if you want towatch separate channels in each room then you will need to install a multi-way LNB on your sat dish and install cables to each Freesat box in each room.
