I live in Norwich and have been having regular trouble with our reception, both analogue and digital. We have an aerial in our loft rather than on our roof and I am starting to wonder if changing that is the only way we can get consistently good reception. On some days it will be absolutely fine and we can watch programmes without interruption, although we still can not get channels such as Five USA which I see are rated as low reception from this receiver anyway. On other days it is incredibly intermittent; the picture will vary from being perfectly clear to saying 'signal lost', even on BBC 1 and 2 which are usually our best received channels. I have tried replacing all cables with gold-plated ones, using a booster and removing all other electrical equipment from the immediate vicinity of the aerial cables, but this inconsistency persists. If it was consistently bad I would put this down to the aerial being poorly aligned or not the right type, but this is not the case. Is my best option to change my aerial or is there anything else I should try?
