Hi Briantist, could a loss of the HD Mux from this transmitter over the last few weeks be down to inversion?

It seems to be a very low power transmitter so over a few miles the signal could easily be wiped out by another high power analogue transmitter?

Its strange this only happens to the HD Mux as they are all the same power?

P.S. keep up the good work!!

I also notice that this transmitter requires the aerial to be positioned vertically, if positioned horizontally could this also increase the risk of interference?

Eleanor - Have you performed a factory reset or first time installation which is required for switch over?

Scott, what you say is true. one solution for this is to perform a factory reset or first time installation with no aerial connected so you clear the channel list. then manually tune only the frequencies from your local transmitter.

Mr C.J Cook

This dependant on which format the program was filmed in, most set top boxes will allow you to reformat them with a stretch or zoom effect but results in a distorted image.

Dick,

The HD channels will not be available until stage two of the switch over which will be on the 23rd November at which time you will need to Factory reset your television.

Please note that your TV being HD ready will not necessarily mean that you receive the HD channels, your TV will need to have a DVB-T2 tuner in order for these to be received.

This can normally be checked in your instruction manual on the product specifications page.

Briantist, This site has always been fantastic and you efforts to constantly improve it are extremely impressive. I believe that your are likely to have assisted almost half the county through Digital switch-over and we are all very grateful!

It seems the signal problem has possibly been corrected as the second image shows.
