No you do not need separate links from each TV to the dish. You need cables from the dish/antennae to the receiver, if your LNB has two connections you can use them as sky does and record one channel but watch another as the receiver has two tuners/decoders in it. It's the number of tuners in the receiver which dictates how many channels can be seen/recorded.
