With satellite I understand I need a separate link from each TV to the dish.

No you do not need separate links from each TV to the dish. You need cables from the dish/antennae to the receiver, if your LNB has two connections you can use them as sky does and record one channel but watch another as the receiver has two tuners/decoders in it. It's the number of tuners in the receiver which dictates how many channels can be seen/recorded. If you had two dishes with dual LNB's and two receivers then theoretically you could watch two different channels and record two different channels at the same time. I think ...

Please check the Planning Regulations applicable at the location. In many areas it is not permitted to have more than one dish and one aerial on the building.
