I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a PC without its covers on generating interference at exactly the right frequencies to really mess up my Freeview reception. It took me a few days to work out what it was.

If you want to borrow a high gain wideband aerial try in your loft (mine just about works up there !) then give me a yell - I've got a spare one knocking around.

You live around 50 yards from me - carry on to the bottom of your road, nip over the fence and you're in my road lol. We've had reduced signal strength and power on Multiplex B but can just about scrape a signal with our loft aerial. All other multiplexes seem to be behaving themselves and with you being so close I doubt its an external issue affecting your reception.
