Since retuning our new samsung TV we have lost over half the channels we used to get including ITV3 channel 4 and channel 5. We had a new high gain ariel fitted in readiness too. After much retuning we called in the ariel contracter who tells us he is inundated with calls for the same problem in the area from people tuned into the waltham Station.
His equipment shows that two carriers are totally down.
Digital UK helpline can't help, have no information and tell us there is no-one to complain to.
Is there anything we can do and is there any idea how long this will go on for?

I am on the edge of the Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve and I seem to be having the same problems. The signal strength is very weak and lost more tha half the channels. Yes it seems to be single frequency interference but it seems to be widespread with any neighbours who are on the Waltham transmitter throughout the village.
Looking at the maps of the 3 transmitters which could serve us in north Nottinghamshire, we seem to be out of reach of the full signal strength.
It appears that surrounding vollages are having the same problem so where on earth do we go from here?

This is so frustrating. We have only just paid to have our new ariel pointed to Waltham because Belmont does not give any news or local topical programmes related to the area in which I live. (Nottinghamshire not Yorkshire)
The East Midlands signal was super prior to this switchover. Now the signal strength fluctuates but seems to have short maximum bursts of around 35%
As a pensioner I find the enforced expence worrying, especially as the switchover is not complete yet. Will we have to go through all this again in August?

We still can not get half of the channels we used to receive from the Waltham transmitter, including ITV programmes, channel-4 and channel-5.

We contacted the local TV ariel company again and was told that it is a widespread problem here in north nottinghamshire and that it will probably be November before we can get these channels again as the signal is not of sufficient strength as yet to reach the area.
Is this true, and if so why is it happening?
