As you can see from the post before yours, the transmitter is the subject of Planned Engineering.
There have been several reports in the last 12hrs or so, where it's been off-air due to a faults and also due to essential engineering.
The most recent reported by the BBC -
From 4:25pm to 5:34pm on 28th Nov 2023 BBC A/BBCB HD Off the air due to a fault.
Do NOT retune when you have no signal, you can't tune to a signal that's not there! In most cases retuning when there's no signal just clears the correct tuning.
I can't find any further faults reported, so you should have your signals back at present..
Arqiva never say how long Planned Engineering will take as some of it may be weather dependant, any maintenance or repairs may be complex. It is unusual for the transmitter to be off-air for any extended periods without some warning. Individual multiplexes may be subject to longer periods of interruption depending on the work taking place.

That's a very good question because I can't find any information about the change at present.
ITV3+1, ITV4+1, and ITVBe+1 all share space on the same multiplex and they all seem to have changed to much reduced hours, and my usual source of information has not been updated!
ITVBe+1 is now back at 2am with 2hrs of Teleshopping!
ITV3+! is now back at 4am, maybe with Teleshopping as the EPG doesn't appear to be updated!
ITV4+1 is back at 6am with Teleshopping as well it seems, but again EPG not updated!
Who is now using the rest of the space on the multiplex is also a good question.
Hopefully we'll be able to dig up some information soon!

That is a possible likely cause, but it may be just aerial position, try moving it around. Proximity to metal objects, obstructions by walls, other buildings, metal objects etc will affect reception in weaker signal areas.

My observation regarding your reception problems first thing in the morning, quote "I get no reception or pixilation in the early morning 6 to about 9.30 especially in spring or early summer"
is that this is unusual that you'd get this on a regular daily basis if it were directly related to things such as trees or weather.
Steve has done a very thorough analysis. Both the Freeview and BBC reception predictors show variable reception using Horizontal Polarisation, and changing to Vertical may solve that problem. If however, your aerial is already vertical (rods or squashed Xs vertical) then it could be your aerial system is marginal for one reason or another.
There's no weather related tropospheric ducting issues at present, but you may have noticed in the post before yours, that the transmitter is having Planned Engineering.
This might have accounted for your loss of reception.
However, it would still be wise to check that your aerial points correctly - compass bearing 106 degrees - that's almost ESE.
How old is the installation, the aerial connections may have deteriorated - water ingress, likewise your coax downlead. Check your accessible coax connections for corrosion or water.

As Steve mentioned, ring them up and request a free filter if you don't have one already. If you have a masthead amp make sure you tell them that.
If at any future date you replace your aerial of your own volition, it should be a Group A for Rowridge or possibly a Group K if you think you may change to Winterborne Strickland at any point as Group K will do for both. It certainly should NOT be a Group T/Wideband.

Maybe it's that new shopping channel ITV1 are screening midnight - 0300 going to take the space?

Whilst the Nottingham transmitter is the nearest to you, there are two other main transmitters you may receive. However, whichever it is, all 3 happen to be the subject of Planned Engineering -
Nottingham transmitter: Possible effect on TV reception week commencing 27/11/2023 Pixelation or flickering on some or all channels
For Nottingham, your aerial should be pointing at compass bearing 328 degrees ~fractionally W of NNW with its rods (or squashed Xs) vertical.
How long has this problem been going on?
You should have received a postcard from https://restoretv.uk/post…ure/ as it's possible you may be suffering interference from a new/upgraded mobile phone mast.
If your aerial points roughly ESE or SW with the rods horizontal, please advise, we might be able to offer more help if you still have problems.
Unfortunately we don't know how long the engineering work will last.
PS. There's no such thing as a "digital" aerial, they are all aerials, they pick up RF signals and don't care whether they are digital or analogue ;)
