Carole :

There is something very silly gong on here. Do not rush to a cable "solution", it will cost you!!
You have two aerials, yes the one on top certainly seems to be a wide band, but the one below it appears to be a "contract" aerial and is likely to be an enhanced C/D which should certainly give you good signals on most multiplexes if you were connected to it instead of the wideband.

So what sort of signal strengths and quality does your Signal Information menu give you on the UHF channels I asked about. I'm assuming you followed my suggestions for doing a manual tune after clearing any previous tuning.
Also I'm wondering if you may have too much signal - that can overload a receiver and make it appear insensitive.
When exactly did you start having problems?

alan:

I thought that StevensOnln1's posts were quite clear on this. There is a link towards the top of this page which is not out of date which takes you to the Official: True Entertainment's website. There is a Contact Us at the bottom of that page where you can email them about the change they have made.

What StevensOnln1 has said is that they have moved the "channel" (all channels on Freeview are identified by their LCN/position number - the one you press on your remote to get the program you want) BUT they have also moved channels from their original multiplex to the Local Multiplex.
UHFChannel 55 has not yet been switched off for G5! (Although it has from some transmitters for other technical reasons!!).

Not all areas have a local multiplex. You know if you have because you will get a local TV station on LCN 7 or 8 depending on where you are in the country. If you do, then retuning that multiplex should restore True Entertainment.

See these bits of information about the changes Sony have made (but they don't mention the multiplex change!) -
Sony Channel changes | Freeview
Channel launches, closures and changes on 27 June 2019 | Freeview

If you put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker it will tell you what transmitter(s) is your likely main transmitter and any others you might get. It tells you the UHF channel number for each multiplex and the predicted reception. If there is a local multiplex it's usually towards the bottom of the lists.

I hope that clarifies things.

John K (or Jack?):

I was a little uncertain about what you meant exactly, but having had a look at some of your previous posts, I can see why you need to readily identified the UHF Frequency/Channel numbers. However, the listings on this site aren't always up-to-date as the site owner has not always had time to correct them with all the changes around the country.

If you put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker it will give you all the latest information about the transmitters you should be able to receive, and the UHF channel numbers and predicted reception. Hope that helps.

Les Bromley:

I wonder if you are actually meaning LCN 48 (channel/programme) which was movies4men which moved to LCN 40 and then became True Entertainment, but what wasn't clearly stated on a later Freeview update was that it changed mux to a Local Mux. Unfortunately there is no Local Mux at Preseli.

It seems that Service Updates | Freeview is a page to keep an eye on, but this Digital UK | Channel listings is usually an accurate list.

Chris Hawke: & Michael:

These changes have been made by Sony, not Freeview, see

If you go to the True Entertainment page on this site, there is a link to their Official Site True Channels and at the bottom of the page a contact us link where you can email them at info@truemovies.tv and complain about the moves to local muxes so you can no longer receive them. This is likely the only way it may change. Good luck.

This page is worth keeping an eye on Service Updates | Freeview

The changes made to the True channels have been made by Sony. For their Official Site see True Channels
A Contact Us link at the bottom of the page will allow you to email them at info@truemovies.tv to complain about the changes where you can no longer receive the channels.

Yes, there is a local mux from Sutton Coldfield. There's another on UHF36.
Put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker to see what you are likely to receive.

If you are getting your signals from the Craigkelly transmitter, there is engineering work there this week with "Possible weak signal".

Joe McGuigan: You should have no trouble getting the Local Mux which now carries True Entertainment. You should also get the local station at LCN 8. The Local mux is on UHF ch.30

Brian: Put your postcode into Digital UK - Coverage checker to see the predicted reception at your location. You may well need a high gain wideband aerial, but you may also be out of luck.
