Neil Thompson:

BBC Humberside is carried on the local multiplex Block 10D: 215.072 MHz operated by Bauer. Transmitters that carry it will be to the east of you, it's not carried on Emley Moor apparently. You are most likely well outside the normal coverage area, the nearest transmitter could be at High Hunsley, but there may be a low power relay a bit closer.

Check you haven't lost any other stations on the multiplex such as Viking FM. Try manual tuning as automatic scans may miss weaker signals

Although there were some odd problems with email updates a while ago, mine (weekly) have been working recently.
The system may not be correctly recognising each of your posts as being from the same person as the cumulative post count for you doesn't seem to be correctly updating.
Try checking that your details are correctly entered in the system using the Mail Icon at the top RHS of the page and that it's the identical email address and name in the boxes etc when you post.

Hi, as mentioned on the Rouncefall page it's Brian Butterworth's (@Briantist) site. Hopefully he can address this email problem.

Not sure why you are telling us, this is not London Live's website, it's a free technical helpsite!

There's no currently listed Planned Engineering at Winter Hill, and neither Freeview nor the BBC are reporting any faults.
There haven't been any frequency changes this year and only a couple of minor channel changes. The last significant shift in channel LCN numbers was November 2020 and that did not involve frequency changes.

It's not clear from the way you have phrased your post(s) whether this is a continuous problem (which would surprise me as I've not seen any reports here or elsewhere) or whether it's something that occurs from time to time - perhaps you could be more specific.

If it's something that has just recently reoccurred in the last day or two, it could be due to weather conditions which have produced some moderate but quite variable "Tropospheric Ducting" which can cause interference to signals from other transmitters in the UK or Europe, see Effect of tropospheric ducting on Freeview | Help receiving TV and radio for a rather simplistic explanation. It can also affect FM and DAB Radio reception, but not necessarily all at the same time, nor all multiplexes at the same time, it is often very frequency dependent. Your area is one which might be currently affected according to the predictors and both the BBC and Freeview have current general warnings about possible reception problems around the UK.

You should not have any problems with reception of all multiplexes from Winter Hill at your locale, although COM7 and the Local (Liverpool) multiplex will not be quite as good as the others.
Do you receive the G-MAN multiplex (UHF C27) at all, eg. LCNs 75, 78, 79 etc (see Channel listings for Industry Professionals | Freeview for which channels are on which multiplex). You are not predicted to get these, but if you do, it suggests you have some very strong signals - maybe because you have an amplifier and distribution system for your 3 TVs and so there could be the possibility of having too much signal which can cause the sort of problems you are experiencing as well as picture pixellation.

Have a look in your TVs' tuning sections for the Signal Strength and Quality or BER figures for each multiplex. If the Quality is not 100% or high BER figures this could support possible overload or possible interference. If you have a gain control on any amplifier, turn it down a touch and watch the figures.
Excessive signal can cause a set's indicated strength to go down as the overload increases as well as quality being affected.

John Millar:

As you can see from the post following yours, there's Planned Engineering and this is the most likely explanation.

Michael:

As you can see from posts preceding yours, and the one after, the transmitter is undergoing Planned Engineering, so this is the most likely explanation as your normal predicted reception at your locale is excellent.

You haven't given any explanation of your precise problem and whether it's continuous, recent (dates are useful) or only just happened, nor have you given a full postcode so we can see what your normal predicted reception would be and which transmitter(s) you could receive and so whether they have faults or Planned Engineering at present.

The two services you mention are (expensive IMHO) subscription services, the former making use of quite a lot of the Freeview services and therefore unlikely to resolve any current issues, the latter is a satellite service totally separate from Freeview.
If you normally have problems with Freeview reception then you could consider Freesat which is a free satellite service. A lot of modern TVs have an in-built satellite tuner so you'd only need a Dish and LNB, otherwise you'd need to buy a Freesat box as well.

I'm afraid that there are a number of minor errors such as this, around this whole website. But as the site owner hasn't had time to make more significant changes such as completing the changes from the 700MHz Clearance program, this one is unlikely to be dealt with soon.

If per chance you retuned your bedroom TV when the HD multiplex was on low power or off-air, this will most likely have cleared the correct tuning. Check in the TV's tuning section for the signal strengths for each UHF multiplex on your main TV, if these are all high and similar, then do the same for the bedroom TV. If UHF channel 35 is missing on the bedroom TV and the strength on all the others is high, then try a manual retune for UHF C35 on the bedroom TV and see if this restores the channels.

If however the signals on your main TV are all high, but all the bedroom ones are low, then you should check your coax plugs and connections to the bedroom.
