There is "Planned Engineering" listed this week for the Okehampton Relay with "Possible service interruptions"
It's likely that was the cause of your loss, and they have now hopefully returned.

Apart from the fact that I can't see any CH9 postcodes in the Talacre area which way are you pointing your aerial for what you think is Moel-y-Parc? It also should be horizontal polarisation.
If you are anywhere near the Talacre Beach caravan park area and if you are pointing it S for Moel-y-parc the predicted reception is not as good as other transmitters.
Also if you are picking up North West signals, as StevensOnln1 has said you must be getting them from another transmitter.
If you are pointing your aerial S, then the NW region signals are being picked up on a "side-lobe" of your aerial - in which case you might just as well point it the direction of the NW transmitters and get a more reliable signal.
There's only 3 likely transmitters, West Kirby is a "Light" transmitter just across the water on the edge of the Wirral but vertical polarisation (bearing 80 degrees - slightly N of E), Storeton which has 6 NW muxes (due E also vertical), but more to the point, Winter Hill (ENE bearing 60 degrees) which is predicted to give excellent reception there apart from COMs 7&8 but they are only slightly worse than Moel-y-parc.
If you know the UHF channels numbers you are picking up there, that may identify the transmitter you've been getting.

You should get virtually perfect reception from Winter Hill at your location. I can't find any reports of any problems with power reductions either by Freeview or the BBC, everything should be running as normal.
There might have been a temporary blip of course, but if you still have the problem, check out your flyleads and other coax connections in case you have disturbed something, eg. if you unplugged the aerial to retune to clear previous tuning first.

The only transmitter faults reported are as in the post before yours. You shouldn't have any trouble receiving from Shatton Edge it's only about 3km from you. Your aerial should be pointing a tiny fraction S of W bearing 263 degrees with the rods vertical.
If you retuned when you lost signal it might have tuned to a weak transmitter.
Try unplugging the aerial and doing an automatic tune which should clear all previous tuning as nothing will be found. Then plug the aerial back in and retune again. Hopefully everything will be restored correctly.

Can you provide some more information about what this "channel box" is that is downloading? What does it do? How did you start to get it? I'm afraid I've never heard of it, I don't know if anyone else here may have, perhaps they'd post and explain if they do.

I don't know if there's anything here that may help, I haven't read it.

If you'd visited the Winter Hill transmitter page, you have found some recent posts with all he correct up-to-date information (although js is quite right about C54-, that isn't mentioned in the posts because most devices tune correctly when you go to C54).

Retuning when you have a weak or no signal is usually a bad idea, it just clears your correct tuning in most cases.
The "Planned Engineering" can go on at any time during the week and they never give a duration. It is uncommon for it to be continuing through an evening, but it depends on how "major" the work is.
The BBC haven't listed any faults, but they will only do so for their channels. Freeview won't list anything for your location as they predict Tunbridge Wells as the most likely transmitter!
All you can try is a further retune on that multiplex during the evening.
Are you getting the HD multiplex on C47 ok? At least you can get ITV/Ch4/Ch5 there
If the problem continues ring Freeview on 0808-100-0288, if they try fobbing you off because Tunbridge Wells is the "most likely transmitter", bluntly point out to them that their Coverage Checker predicts virtually identically good reception from Heathfield!
