mike,
thanks for response, but as all other channels have come through the retune, I cannot see that the fault lies with my system.
any other helpful suggestions would be gratefully received.
would seem that this change is not working, how unexpected!!!

As an avid tennis fan, my wife would love to have the full red-button options but cannot because they are only available if the tv set is hd. being pensioners, the cost of purchasing an hd set is prohibitive!! is there a technical reason why it is restricted to hd and is not available to us who only have standard tv's?

hi mmuford
thanks for your response. I know about the 601 [red button] channel. what I was referring to was the bbc 602+ channels that are onlt available if you have HD. I would like to know why the extra channels are only available on HD and not to the majority of us who only have SD sets? but thanks for taking the trouble to respond to my enquiry

to all who have replied to my enquiry, thank you.
referring to the HD set-top box, would appreciate advise. I have two HUMAX boxes that I have daisy chained. if I procure an HD box, could I add this to the chain and so receive HD programs?
thanks again bruce
